We are rolling out some changes to One Search (the search within the EHS toolbar).
These changes include:
- Searching by ID – If you enter numbers only into the search then the top results returned will be record ID’s with an exact match
eg. Enter “221” and the top results will be records with ID 221 (from any module), followed by other matches - An expanded search – You will now also get search results that contain a partial match to your search term. These will appear after exact matches
eg. Search on “221” and the secondary results would have records containing “221b Baker Street” entered as an address in a record - Permission changes – Results will be based on your READ permissions. This has also been expanded to show records you are involved in, like My Tasks
- Data shown – The data fields returned have been changed so they are now aligned with the general definitions used across other parts of EHS
- Site / Reporting Point search – You can now search by Site / Reporting Point name
We’ve made these changes as part of our ongoing technical migration to Elasticsearch.
